The Step 'n Wash Self-Retracting Commercial Restroom Step Stool is designed for public, institutional and commercial washrooms where standard sink heights may be difficult for children and users of shorter stature to reach. The unit is installed directly beneath the sink or counter and secured to a suitable concrete floor. When required, the platform lowers into position. After use, a concealed spring automatically returns it to its upright position, while an integrated damper controls movement and helps prevent sudden opening or retraction. The side supports are manufactured from formed 12-gauge type 304 stainless steel. The platform is manufactured from 16-gauge type 304 stainless steel and reinforced with a welded stainless-steel bracket. A marine-grade non-slip safety surface provides edge-to-edge grip in wet restroom environments. The manufacturer states a load capacity of up to 800 lb. Current model options are SW-975 in stainless steel and SW-975-MBLK in matte black. Installation uses four supplied 3/8-inch stainless-steel wedge anchors. Front mounting holes should be positioned approximately 5.5 to 6 inches behind the front edge of the lavatory, subject to the supplied installation template and site conditions.
